Nature Life Drawing

School Incursion

Engaging children in biological art is a great way for them to truly observe local flora and fauna by noticing their array of shapes, patterns, colours, and learning how all these details interact.

Eco Action leads a fascinating and educational Nature Life Drawing workshop for children.  Drawing with nature encourages children to develop their visual analysis skills, concentration, and creative problem solving. Children must determine the best way to show certain textures, to connect body parts, and how to tackle perspective.

Children will be able to draw and interact with a range of friendly native flora and fauna in the workshop including green tree frogs, a bob tail lizard, insects, beetles, and caterpillars. They will be guided through the workshop by a qualified artist and biologist.
