Minibeasts

School Incursion

In Western Australia invertebrates such as insects and spiders make up 80% of all our animals, and without them humankind would struggle to survive

In this hands-on workshop children will be introduced to a range of different invertebrates who fulfill key roles in the environment such as pollinators and decomposers. Sessions can be tailored to suit your requirements, and can include a variety of topics including classification, life cycles, adaptation, food chains, habitat requirements, conservation and threatened species.

Students will be able to interact up close with a range of mini-beasts including stick insects, giant burrowing cockroaches, beetles, caterpillars and more. Students will also learn how crucial invertebrates are for creating healthy soil ecosystems through observing soil and compost samples.

Eco Action can bring Minibeasts to your school or event. Make a booking online.
