Mini-Minibeasts (30 min) Early Learning Incursion

School Incursion

Book Online

Minibeasts is our all-time favourite workshop. We are now trialling a Mini version with a reduced number of animal guests and shorter sessions to meet the needs of smaller childcare centres and play groups, which may not have the number of children or the space available for a full display.

Mini Minibeasts caters for 0-5-year-olds, up to 15 children.
For older children, larger groups, and a full display of invertebrates, please check out our amazing Minibeasts workshop.

Mini Minibeasts provides kids with an opportunity to interact with the animals and extend their learning, as well as a perfect setting for a photo session.

Suitable for small groups of children – ideal group size is 10, but we can accommodate up to 15 children.

The workshop lasts 30 minutes.

Select up to 3 species of animals, and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Please note: Some animals may not be available for handling for the safety of the animal and the children – e.g. fish, tadpoles, frogs, scorpions and spiders are best observed, but not handled 🙂

Our current animals, available for this incursion, are:

Lizards (Bobtail*, Bearded dragon), Frogs, Tadpoles, Fish, Stick Insects*, Leaf Insects, Water Boatman Beetle, Dragonfly Larvae, Butterflies, Caterpillars*, Beetles* and their larvae*, Spiders, Scorpions, Praying Mantis nymphs, Snails*, Worms*.

This is dependent on the activity but generally all we require is a secure indoor space such as a classroom, hall or other suitably sized space. We can work outdoors as long as there is some cover.
